7th International Designs for Learning Conference: Remediation of Learning – day 2: Keynote with Theo van Leeuwen and Staffan Selander

Both Theo van Leeuwen and Staffan Selander speaks from their research project Toys as Play.
Theo van Leeuwen begins by talking about toys and their impact in children's lives in their capacity to remediate adult practice.
van Leeuwen highlights the design process and the values and attitudes reflected in design choices, in a sense limiting children's socialisation into looking at the world against the grain.
Staffan Selander takes over and continues by talking about the remediation of knowledge and how this may offer opportunities to re-design learning.
"What do we mean by playing AND learning?"
