7th International Designs for Learning Conference: Remediation of Learning – day 1: Keynote with Jay David Bolter

Chair Fredrik Lindstrand introduces Jay Bolter, drawing on Bolter's and Richard Grusin's book Remediation: Understanding New Media from 1998.
Bolter discusses the hypertextualisation of knowledge and education, drawing on examples from, for instance, libraries.
He moves from early digital culture to digital remix culture to communal or collective digital culture.
Ultimately, he discusses the last step on his ladder: the locative or spatial stage.
This last part ties to the work on augmented reality Bolter has performed in the last fifteen years.
